I'm not asking about the red potatoes or white skinned potatoes. My friend and I were debating whether it's alright to eat the skin on one of those large brown russet potatoes. I was always raised to avoid the skin, but just recently my friend told me he eats the skin. I have heard that since they are gown in the ground and the pesticides farmers use sink into the soil; inevitably sinking into the potato's skin, is it worth the risk to eat the entire potato?Is it alright to eat the brown skin on a baked potato?
Sure -- the entire thing is edible. At home or at a restaurant, just make sure the skin is scrubbed well. When I worked at a hospital, we used to run teh potatoes thru the dish machine before baking! :-)Is it alright to eat the brown skin on a baked potato?
I personally think that's the best part! Just make sure you scrub them off well before baking. Then I rub a little bit of butter on the skin, sprinkle with a tiny bit of sea salt, and wrap in foil before putting in the oven. Don't forget to pierce the skin in a couple places before putting in the oven, otherwise, you have potatoes exploding all over ICK!

They are toxic and come from potatoes that are to shallow in the soil and exposed to light while growing. All you have to do then is peel the green part off, the rest is still fine to eat. It's actually better for you to eat the skin, its like the whole kiwi thing, some people eat it, others don't. It's an acquired taste, however you do get more protein from the potato and it tastes better than the kiwi. haha. I like the skin, I recommend eating it.

It's true that a lot of pesticides are used on potato plants, because the plant parts get very damaged by bugs. I couldn't tell you if potatos can absorb the chemicals or not.

wow, I can not even believe this question is being asked, frankly. Basically there is almost NO nutritional value in the rest of a potato (the white part) the part of the potato that has nearly all the nutrients, vitamins and minerals is what has color. I have never in my life understood people peeling potatoes. what a waste of time and of valuable food. in fact, what i usually say is peel the potato and throw away the white part.

Please, no Michael Jackson jokes. Seriously, if you stay out of the sun or something, will your skin turn lighter? Like my thighs are several shades lighter than the rest of my body.

Is it illegal? I just came back from Asia and I the LOVED dog meat. They literally had open markets with live dogs. Though I didn't actually buy a raw dog from the markets, I ate some at the restaurant.

i know oatmeal's really good for your skin, but all i have are Quaker oats in a can. could you just add it to any kind of liquid soap? i have really itchy, dry sensitive skin %26amp; a lot of ppl have told me oatmeal will help, i just don't know how to.How do you properly use oatmeal for skin treatments if you only have Quaker oats in a can lol?

1. Boil 1 cup oatmeal until good enough to eat, not too sticky (Keep an eye on the boiling stuff, sometimes it boils over)
2. Add 1 TB Honey and 1 egg white
honey moisturizes, egg white cleans pores
3. Apply thinly on face so it doesn't drip
4. Wash off when it feels like the mask is cracking when you scrunch your face
I add oatmeal to my homemade soap too, You need molds and wax. Melt the wax/Boil it until its completely liquid. Put oatmeal in the bottom of the mold and then pour the wax over it. Let it cool. If you want, add some cute little beads or some yummy scent to it too!

No, I have have diagnosed with Kertaris Pillaris which is a skin condition that causes visible bumps, they feel really rough and they surface on top of your skin.
What I do is-take one cup of oatmeal (any brand is fine), mix it with two ro three drops of vanilla extract, mix with three drops of coconut oil, a little olive oil (not too much) and mix in blender until thick and well blended.
then when you hit the showers, use this mixture and exfoliate your skin with a loofah. do this 3-4 times a week :)

mix regular oatmeal and milk (preferably full cream milk) and leave on clean face for 20 minutes before wash off.. result? smooth, soft, clear skin you'll love. :-)

I think the structure you are referring to is your frenulum, which is on the under side of the penis and links the glans (head) to the inner foreskin.

I manage to counter shine by applying oil-control toner before putting on my makeup. I also use a gel formulation, which gives a good matte coverage and it isn't very hard to keep on.
Check out the Aqua Gel foundation line by Maybelline, it's very good.

hi i have oily skin as well. your best bet for that is a little something called physicains formula...its at walmart...it is little pricy like 12 bucks BUT i bought mine a year ago and its still kicken....it is very lightwieght and i swear it just hides imperfections...also try physicains formula/ magic mosecc? its amazing just make sure you get the foundation...they have many options like blush and translucent concealer...idk i love it so give it a try
