Eczema is a form of dermatitis, or inflammation of the upper layers of the skin.

The term ';eczema'; is broadly applied to a range of persistent or recurring skin rashes characterized by redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, with possible crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. Areas of temporary skin discoloration sometimes characterize healed lesions, though scarring is rare. What is the medical condition or a skin disease called Eczema?
No it is just extrordinaraly dry skin some people are born with it some people just develop it. It also looks like a rach just use lotion or talk to a dermatologist
My daughter has it - in her case, and it varies, it is just very very dry skin. It's so dry it itches terribly and she scratches it until she bleeds if we don't keep it medicated.

It can be caused by allergens but also some people just ';have it'; as far as I've heard.
