Is it safe/healthy to eat the skin of cooked trout? What are pros and cons?

I usually just peel it off as I'm eating, but have had people say that it's really healthy. What about mercury, is it higher in skin than the 'meat'? I'm a woman planning to conceive in the next year. And I know chicken skin is really bad to eat...Is it safe/healthy to eat the skin of cooked trout? What are pros and cons?
Nah it's fine. Most people don't eat it because they are repelled by the ';idea'; of eating fish skin. It contains vital nutrients just like the rest of the fish. If you scale the fish before cooking, it cooks to a nice crunchy texture, mmmmm . . .

Mercury will pervade the entire animal. You can review the data for local lakes to see if they have high levels of mercury, we have only one lake nearby like that. ';Should not consume more than three trout per week due to mercury levels . . . . '; UGH!

Chicken skin is only detrimental in that it has a very high fat content. Other than that, if it's cooked, it's also fine.
