How can you tell what undertone your skin has??

I cannot figure what type of undertone my skin has. How do you tell if it's blue, yellow, pink or golden??? And what colors look good with certain types of skin??How can you tell what undertone your skin has??
yay i love this question! tanning experience is one way to tell. if you tan easily and well, you probably have golden or yellow undertones (pretty similar, and work with the same colors). if you burn, you have blue or pink. also, look at the veins on your wrists. if they appear very blue, you have blue undertones. if they look purple, you have pink. if they are green/turquoise, you have yellow/gold.


the colors that look good with your skin are a way to tell in their own right, but usually the above methods work. ';cool'; undertones (blue and pink) look best with colors like blue, purple, and green. jewel tones also look awesome. ';warm'; undertones (yellow, brown, gold) look better with reds, browns, yellows, and oranges.


you can be a middle person though, and be both warm and cool. this means that you don't have obvious undertones, and can wear pretty much any color really well. hair and eye color also play a role.
