Hi I have caramelish skin tone, brown eyes and dark brown curly hair. I want to get some highlights for the summer. Some of my hair inspirations (although great singers) are Mariah Carey and Beyonce? i think if you want highlights, make sure your stylist is good and can do something that can frame your face. depending on where your highlights are placed, your face can look completely different. look at some photos of people that have similar face shape as yours, and see what makes them look good. for example, if you have a wide forehead or a big face, go with bangs, side swept bangs work great too. If you're going to have problems with root touch ups, probably safer to go with multidimensional color close to your natural color as opposed to getting something that will be screaming ROOOOOOOTS! when they grow out a little.
