How do i get the perfect flawless skin with foundation?

Im getting so annoyed with my make up! It just never seems to look right! My spots seem to glow through red within an hour of applying it, and it goes blotchy around my lips and just generally!

HELP !

Thank you xxxHow do i get the perfect flawless skin with foundation?
Ahhh, perfect and flawless - what we all strive to achieve. Unfortunately, that's not completely possible - you have to have the ILLUSION of perfect. You do realize that models are not perfect. Many of them are airbrushed to perfection.

Anyway, that's not what you want to know, ...so how to go about getting that illusion....

First, start with a fresh clean face one that you take super good care of daily. How to do that...

Wash twice daily, once in the pm to clean all the dirt, impurities and make-up of the day and once in the am to start with a fresh slate.

Next, when you moisturize, be sure to wait 20 minutes before you apply any foundation. It doesn't matter how much money you spend on foundation or moisturizer - if you don't wait to let the moisturizer absorb into your skin - you will not have a good surface in which your foundation will stick around.

Next, apply your foundation with a moist (NOT wet) sponge, and make sure you do one section at a time and blend into the next section (forehead, nose, chin, cheeks each their own section). Blend up and out towards the other sections (except on your nose, blend down and out towards your cheeks) - be careful around your hairline you don't want a build up there. Then with the same sponge go back over the ';red'; areas and just dab - don't rub or blend, just dab a little bit to blend in, but cover the red.

After that, use a loose powder close to your foundation shade or a slight be lighter and go over your whole face using light downward strokes (the direction your facial hair grows).

Finally, when you are all done, if you want to, you could spritz with Model in a Bottle. Makes any make-up (cheap to expensive) last longer. How do i get the perfect flawless skin with foundation?
First of all, that person up there is wrong...foundation will not ';ruin'; your face. As long as you completely wash it off at night, it should not cause you to break out any more than usual (if it does, switch foundations).

Second, it could be the foundation making it look like that, rather than how you apply it.

The tips I have that make me appear to have flawless skin (which I definitely do not) are:

- wash your face and apply moisturizer or primer (I love Cetaphil moisturizer and Smashbox primer)

- use those little makeup sponges to apply the foundation (not your fingers) and dip the sponge in moisturizer so that the sponge does not absorb the foundation

Okay...so my tips for actually applying the foundation are, after you did the previous steps up there, take your makeup sponge and the amount of foundation you want to use (into the palm of your hand) and dip it into the foundation and apply it that way. The trick is to kind of picture it as painting and sort of stipple the foundation onto your skin with the sponge (not rub onto the skin). And you can just use more product where you need more coverage. I use a normal ol' drugstore foundation and I don't have to even use concealer when I do that, it looks natural, AND I have far from perfect skin.

After you've done all the you always want to use a powder to set the makeup (preferably loose). It will help finish off the look and make the foundation last longer.
Make sure you are moisturising every day and night, with a good brand. Drink lots and lots of water and eat your veggies to make your skin glow =] Apply a face mask once or twice a week - do all this and your skin will be nice and peachy =]

Start with a pore minimiser, I use one from clinique. This will help your skin look fresh and flawless.

Don't cake on the foundation - but use a decent covering - you shouldn't really be able to see the foundation layer on your skin.

Dust with a light powder after applying your foundation. This should help set the foundation and get rid of shine - so it should stay on for longer.

Instead of re-applying foundation during the day, why not invest in a touch up kit, from a brand such as Bobbi Brown. This means you aren't constantly layering on the thick stuff which can clogg pores - this is a lighter version to use during the day to keep your skin looking fresh and make up just-applied.

Good luck! x
I believe we only need foundation in the areas where we need it. That is generally the forehead, nose, cheeks, and chin. By red spots do you mean acne?, you may want to try a heavier foundation like Dermablend which will give you coverage but it is not going to look flawless, if you wanting to look flawless you need a foundation with a radiant finish.

I just bought the Bare Escentuals Mineral Foundation kit and I LOVE IT. It's fabulous. It completely covers up my pores and any other minor skin blemish. It comes with three brushes, an instructional video and all the foundation and powder you need to get a healthy ';no makeup'; looking flawless face. I highly recommend it! Before I tried this, I was using Estee Lauder's foundation powder and by the end of the day, I looked an oily mess. This still looks flawless and I've had it on all day. Just my 2 cents!
PRO ACTIV! Im telling you, My skin never looked better and when I put my makeup on it looks flawless. Everyone tells me my skin looks like its glowing. Pro activ is not just for acne...It helps blotching and redness. Also a great makeup product is the Bare Minerals, if you don't want to spend alot of money Maybelline has a great mineral makeup collection.
I went through the exact same thing last month, then i found Clinique!

Go to their counter and they'll diagnose you with a skin type and tell them the problems you have with your skin, and they'll find the perfect concealer and foundation that suits your skin.
use an expensive moisturiser %26lt;- cant spell that. but use it on yoru face at night and dont wear your make up to bed or when ur having a lazy day in. this way you wont get alot of spots. also dont use to much foundation but quite abit of pressed powder x
get a good and expensive foundation powder. it seems to stay on for longer than cream, chanel is the best one to cover all spots
lol you should go on a make up detox dont use and make up apart from lipgloss and drink loads of water like 3 50 ml bottles a day.
use mineral foundation
MAC studio fix and a touch of loose powder.its a brief answer i know but the difference it made to my skin was amazing
use mineral makeup x
put primer on before you apply foundation . works for me :)
My advice is dont use foundation of any kind! it ruins your skin and looks awful!!
dont use it, it damages your skin %26gt;.%26lt; x
